The Cape Town Visit

I recently visited the beautiful city of Cape Town and I think I left a piece of my heart there! The city is sure to enchant you with its golden beaches, the magnificent table mountain and the breathtaking vineyards! It’s like this city has it all – adventure, history, beauty, everything packed together to give you an experience of a lifetime.

I went for a short trip with a packed itinerary, so I had to make sure that I dress up comfy. Cotton clothes and walking shoes are your best options while travelling in Cape Town, although the nights can get a little chilly so make sure you pack some jackets/cardigans too and most importantly your swimsuits ;).
Sunglasses, hat and a sunscreen with a good SPF are the must-haves in Cape Town as the sun is a bit strong in this city but if you take good care of your skin, you might return with a nice glowing sun-tan.
While the city is big on travel and beauty, I did not feel the same about shopping. :( There’s a lot of tribal, African jewellery like beaded neck-pieces and earrings, chunky bangles available here but I thought it was a bit over priced and unfortunately my bargaining skills were put to a pretty harsh test here. Although if you love collecting artifacts then this is the place for you as they have a plethora of different artifacts displayed everywhere in the city. Some of the popular shopping destinations in Cape Town are the V&A waterfront, the Canal Walk mall, Cavendish Square mall, the Green Market square,  Hout Bay market and the Kirstenbosch  craft market.
Also a word of advice to all those who are planning to visit this dynamic city - be careful of your belongings and travel mostly in groups, avoid travelling in secluded areas at night especially if you are alone. And if you are a vegetarian, get ready for a pretty serious dieting spree, LOL! ;)
